Rodriguez is a lifelong learner who embraces challenges of all kinds. His passion for the law led him to become a city attorney and a judge for 20 years while his intellect, at the intersection of law and science, inspired him to create a program on the potential use of neuroscience evidence in the courtroom.
His enthusiasm for entrepreneurship motivated him to start a business dealing with health products, and his desire to keep challenging himself led him to ADR Services Inc. as a mediator, discovery referee and arbitrator.
Rodriguez was born in Costa Rica and came to the U.S. when he was 8 years old. With an interest in science and history, he started at the University of California San Diego as a biology major and ended up with a degree in political science. After law school at UC Berkeley School of Law, he started practicing at San Diego firm Higgs Fletcher & Mack LLP, which specializes in municipal law.
